[ One of the few things that Solo does well (other than take things and lie to people) is cook. It keeps him occupied when he's stuck in a foreign country for some reason or another. Getting his hands on rare items you cook with has been a game to him. The only complaint about his cooking came from Gaby and he hardly counts it as a real one. She just couldn't appreciate truffles. She said they smelled like feet. Clearly her taste buds are awful and she needs to learn.

He leaves his door unlocked for Regina and takes a position in his kitchen for several hours before she arrives. Who said a one night stand couldn't have a little bit of romance in it? Romance doesn't mean you want to settle down and have a life. It just meant that you wanted to enjoy the evening a little bit. Having a meal wasn't commitment. A massage didn't mean marriage. He doesn't have candles lit, but he does have some music playing in the background. Music from his time.

When Solo hears his door shut he calls out. He has a half finished bottle of wine on the kitchen table with a glass next to it. His glass is mostly finished and when he turns to face the doorway he drains the rest of it. He has an apron on over a dress shirt, a vest, a tie and some slacks. His suit jacket is draped over the back of a chair while he cooks. ] Hi there.

What's the last thing you remember from back in Storybrooke? I'm not trying to pry into your business I just need to know if you can help me figure something out.

[ so, let it be known that Gwen is aware of how much she's been ..branching out, when it comes to this intimacy thing. it's a little odd for her, all things considered. she's not shy but she's guarded, for sure, and she might be kind of dealing with a break up ( sort of ) but she's not on the rebound because she still has a boyfriend ( she had two, it was crazy, let's not focus on that ), but- anyway. she's not just looking for a distraction, she's not going to pretend to be so angsty and whatever, she's just more willing to take chances and meet more people here. that's all.

it's actually kind of nice, not being so concerned who knows her and how well they know her or don't know her or anything. she's just having fun.

and Regina is definitely fun.

and intimidating.

and beautiful.

it's a really great combination.

they've hung out in public a few times, more times than Gwen usually sees people before she tries to kiss them or invite them over to her place, but flirting with Regina is really fun. she's so damn classy, and Gwen is so damn not. but she likes trying to be, likes trying to charm a woman who has no reason to spend time with her, so she figures she better make it worth her while. she likes making her smile and all that. it's fun. a little crazy, but fun. yes. main point there.

so when she ends up in a hotel room with her for the first time, she's really excited. she's trying hard to play it cool! but it's kind of a rush. Regina's forward, and honest, at all times, and that's kind of the best part. she knows she's not here to play Scrabble. there's just this giant bed and the two of them. she isn't sure if Regina actually planned on suggesting they find a place or if she just decided to spur of the moment, but it's fine with her either way.

it's so fine because Gwen's finally getting up the nerve to step in close and rest her hands on her hips and lift up on her toes ( damn why does she always wear those crazy sexy high heels oh wait there's the answer to that question ) so she can kiss her, finally.

only, for once, Gwen has literally no idea how to take things from there. oh god. she doesn't consider herself an expert or anything, but she usually knows how to talk to people in moments like this, how to move with them, whatever, but right now she feels stupid shy. oh god. oh god oh god she's going to kick her out and never see her again how embarrassing dO SOMETHING GWEN STACY ]

[ It's sad that he's coming to Regina, but he honestly doesn't actually have anyone here he feels like he can tell these things to. She's going to offer no sympathy or support, but he feels like he should just the same. ]
